PPTS and AOT Partnership Announcement
Two of the leading therapy providers in Southeast Michigan, Plymouth Physical Therapy Specialists(PPTS) and Advantage OT have entered into a strategic partnership creating a coordinated continuum of care for worker’s compensation patients with the goal of combining evaluation, treatment and prevention to minimize return-to-work time, maximize cost containment and expedite claims resolution.
PPTS will perform the required services in the Physical Therapy clinic including creating an individualized treatment program focusing on the strengthening, conditioning and education of the injured employee. These services may include: certified hand therapy, acute care, splinting, mechanical diagnosis and therapies, traditional modalities, and repetitive motion rehabilitation. If necessary, the worker will transition into one of Advantage OT’s three specialized work conditioning clinics. There, the team at AOT will re-evaluate the patient and customize a comprehensive strength and conditioning program paired with a work-simulation training circuit specific to the individual’s needs and return–to–work demands.
Throughout the continuum of care, the Physical and Occupational Therapists at PPTS and AOT respectively, will maintain consistent communication to expedite the progress of the injured worker. This is to include professional, objective case documentation and coordinated communication with all involved parties including Nurse Case Managers, adjusters and physicians.
